AJR is an American indie pop band who consist out of the three brothers Adam jack and Ryan. Their most famous songs are ‘Weak’, 100 Bad Days’, The World’s Smallest Violin’ and ‘Bang!’. Their latest and fourth album is named OK Orchestra what was staring the number Bang! That peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The three brothers started as street performers ion Central Park en Washington Square park in 2006. They broke threw with their song 'im ready'. Their music style combines elements of pop, dubstep and electronic. They went on a world tour last year for their latest album and went on the Imagine Dragons tour this year as their preshow.
Adam Met studied at Columbia University and got a BA with the majors philosophy and business. He also got a Phd in International Human Rights Law from the University of Birmingham. In the band he does vocals, bass guitar, programming, samples, percussion. On Instragram he is mostly active as a Climate activist. This august Adam announced he would become a professor at Columbia University, teaching a new course entitled Climate Campaigning Reimagined alongside Mila Rosenthal.
Jack Met studied at Columbia University. in 2017 he was diagnosed whith OCD. In the band he does lead vocals, guitar, melodica, ukulele, drums, percussion, keyboards, banjo, synthesizers, samples, programming, cowbell
Ryan Met also studied at Columbia University. Ryan has synesthesia and has said it helps him with his music production process. He lives with Jack and they have two dogs named Shay and Olly. He is engaged to Catharina Capps. In the band he does vocals, programming, keyboards, ukulele, producing, samples.
